One might question oneself, why a preschool instead of a regular school. The answer lies in the fact that, we understand and specialize in child’s physical growth and psychological development.
When a child is born, his brain is not mature enough to control skilled movement. Development starts at his head then moves down the body. So a newborn baby can control his mouth, face, lips and tongue and the rest follows in time.
A child learns to control his neck before his shoulders and his shoulders before his back. A Child can control his arms before his hands and his hands before his fingers.
A child’s body movements are restricted and the child is unaware of those movements which are developed over the period as he grows. We at a preschool help them in discovering those movements at an early age and master them through a series of different and targeted activities. Our equipment and curriculum helps a child improve and develop its muscular movements also known as MOTOR SKILLS.
Motor skills are motions carried out when the brain, nervous system, and muscles work together. Fine motor skills are small movements — such as picking up small objects and holding a spoon — that use the small muscles of the fingers, toes, wrists, lips, and tongue. Gross motor skills are the bigger movements — such as rolling over and sitting — that use the large muscles in the arms, legs, torso, and feet.
